Event Description:

The BCCSA x CRES–EmpowerED Fireside Chat is a full-day professional learning experience scheduled for March 2026, designed for school leaders and educators committed to advancing equity-driven change in education. This convening will center the New York State Culturally Responsive–Sustaining Education (CR-SE) Framework and the New York State Portrait of a Graduate, with a focus on leadership, collaboration, and implementation across K–12 systems. The program will feature a keynote address, facilitated small-group discussions, and interactive engagement sessions that provide space for reflection, dialogue, and participant-driven learning. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening partnerships between K–12 schools and higher education, supporting administrators and school leaders, and building leadership capacity to implement CR-SE practices aligned to curriculum, instruction, and school mission and vision.
