Event Description:

This event is a play on the iconic curly girls festival curl fest that happens in various cities around the United States. For the past two years Curlfest has not been able to happen in New York City due to Covid. Its mission is to empower all people with curly hair with their last event being held on Roosevelt Island in New York City during the same week Crown act was passed which made hair discrimination illegal. The Pan African students coalition would like to bring our version of that to St. John’s University implementing products giveaways from various curly hair companies food and music.
