LALSA:Voting Rights:Street Law

Event Description:

When citizens can make their voices heard, they can demand accountability from their elected officials. However, the laws and policies which have blocked access to the vote throughout American history have diminished the power of Hispanic voters. On September 29th, St. John’s University’s Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA) will be hosting a presentation on voting rights in the United States. Attendees will also learn about the registration process.
